INUVIO ID Card & Insurance Card Scanners

How do I use ScanSharp with MaximEyes?

DESCRIPTION
MaximEyes is a opthomology software developed and distributed by First Insight. They recommend our scanners on their website. It has both a TWAIN interface and a way to import images, however there is only a location for a single image which gives ScanSharp an advantage since we can put front and back into the same image.
HOW TO CONFIGURE SCANSHARP WITH MAXIMEYES
There are 2 options for MaximEyes users. They may use scanners through the TWAIN interface or they may use ScanSharp to upload images.

TWAIN DISADVANTAGE: Beyond the disadvantages of non-automation, there is only room for one image with each insurance policy. Therefore, you can only have the front or back image with the insurance policy. By using ScanSharp, they can put both sides into the single image slot.

The default location for ScanSharp will work for MaximEyes. Just import the created image into MaximEyes. When the next scan is completed, the image will be overwritten and the user can import that next image.
HOW TO INSERT AN IMAGE IN MAXIMEYES
To insert an image into MaximEyes follow these steps:
Click on "Find Patient" and enter the patient to be opened Click on "Insurance Details" to open the screen with the insurnace policies Scan an insurance card (this can be done at any time to save time). Click on "Import" to insert the image into MaximEyes. Click on the scanned image and click open to save the image to MaximEyes.

TROUBLESHOOTING
Common issues are as follows:
The card image cannot be uploaded because it doest not exist in the right location. By using the default settings, images are created on the C: drive to be inserted into MaximEyes. There are 2 main reasons why the image may not be created in this location:
1) The user might not have the proper security settings to create an image on the C: drive. Make sure security is set properly. 2) ScanSharp may not be creating the image in the correct location. Make sure ScanSharp is set to create images on the C: drive (the default location).
OTHER QUESTIONS How is it purchased? First Insight recommends ScanSharp and a choice of any scanner for their clients who purchase from our webpage.
