How do I use ScanSharp with CareTracker?
The following instructions assumes that you have setup ScanSharp and it is running. The usual configuration settings we recommend for ScanSharp to work with CareTracker is scanning at 150 dpi, and saving in JPEG format into a directory of your choice. We also recommend using the fixed filename option so the existing file gets overwritten as you do new scans. The location to save is generally a mapped drive.
1. Scan a insurance card. If you have a simplex scanner, please ensure that you scan the card twice (face down) to obtain both sides of the image.
2. In CareTracker, pull up a Patient's record.
3. Click on Add an attachment.
4. Click on Import the attachment file and browse to the directory where the image file is created.
5. Click on upload.
